Price Paid:  $99.00 from www.mcs-direct.co.uk

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 JBL P1020 Power Series

Summary:
I have 2 of these 10 inch subs & let me tell you they may look small in the back of my car but looks are very deceiving. I have them in 0.75 sealed boxes with loosely pack fibrefill. I recomend a sealed box for these as the bass is low enough & gives you more natural sound & control. I started running them with a Hifonics Gemini amp but it only gave them 100w rms per channel. I have now upgraded my amp to a JBL BP600.1. These 10's kick ass! Just when you think they've reached their limit - turn the knob up more & you'll be amazed! These little beauties can take some power. I now have to upgrade the amp for my mids & tweeters as I can't hear any lyrics. Buy them you won't be disappointed!

Strengths:
None at all. They drop so low that my heart misses a beat. My girlfriend says she enjoys the free massage while we are driving. I can imagine putting them in a ported box (you won't be able to breath) & these are only 10 inch imagine the 12 inch.

Weaknesses:
If you listen to techno or house music these speakers are not for you. They don't have that bang you need for this music. They sound excellent with reggae, hip-hop & R&B.

Similar Products Used:
I only used to use 15 inch subs various models ie. Rockfords etc. My 10's have changed the way I view subwoofers.
