Review 1 of 3

Summary:
Previous guy: Very funny. Bitter about having spent his wad on a Bose setup or something?

The DBLs are fabuluous if you have the gear to drive them.

Plus they need a BIG ROOM. Don't go sticking these into a tiny study or something.

Strengths:
Huge sound.

Weaknesses:
Pricey. And big. Really really big.

Review 2 of 3

Summary:
I have had the very pleasurable experience of having these
bohemoths in my living room for the past ten months since upgrading to a NAP 135 six pack amp option.
Due to various reasons I was however unable to use the speakers at first with my Niam amplification and had to use a friends Accuphase equipment. At first the timing was not quite what I expected but with patience this can be improved by correct siting of the speakers (not an easy task !!!!)But I was immediatly impressed by the speed of which the mentioned items can move lower to mid bass. This is something I had not accounted for using non Niam equipment and could not wait until I was able to use my equipment to "marridge" the performance of the speakers. When done so I was absolutly amazed not just by the performance and speed but also ofd the newly found sub bass that had been produced. You will only here these speakers at thier best using active SNAXO 3-6 xover. Then you are able to discover the power of the 15inch woofer move.
I have been using this set up with an active Naim 135 combo but hope shortly in the new NAP 500 since I have been infomed the power used when Tri Amped has to be heard to be believed.
Again price is not an issue here, pleasure is !

Strengths:
Awsome power and Bass Attack

Weaknesses:
Valve Products a no go

Review 3 of 3

Summary:
a great 2 way 88 eff, 6 ohm min. speaker. Not too forgiving/polite nor ruthlessly revealing. Synergistic with Naim and Linn of course. Supposedly best run active. Anyone try these passively with non-Naim stuff?

Strengths:
neutral, convenient against the wall placement

Weaknesses:
none
