Review 2 of 3 Summary: Actually I bought the Controls new in Wiesbaden Germany in 1991. I have used them for PA, Home Stereo and now they are used for my Keyboards in live gigs. I am surprised that people would use them for home theatre, as the JBL rep I got them from said they would be harsh in a home environment-that's when I bought the Control 6 and 10s for home. These things are bulletproof, so well-made, and handle just about anything you want to put through them. Fot home theatre, I'd recommend a professional graphic equalizer (TOA or the like) to tune them in to your liking. The cones are strong, and they can be harsh at some levels, but they are far better than the Lansing Jubal Studio Monitors that they replaced (I still have them too!) Expensive-yes, would I buy more? You betcha! Strengths: Versatility, Well constructed Weaknesses: None Similar Products Used: Bose 801, EV12
