Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $1500.00 from Used Private

Summary:
Got these used for a great price I couldn't believe the guy was selling them. The sound is round with that blooming feel and the smoothest deepest bass, not booming (like a sub). Usable with tubes or transisters as they need very little power. They do however need room these are not speakers for the den or that little basement listening room. They are big and powerful. If you really want to hear what an overdriven Gibson SG into a marshall amp sounds like find these speakers. The difference between a Steinway and a Bosendorfer find these speakers.

Strengths:
Detail with bass. The bass doesn't override the detail. They are Big Speakers and can handle the full spectrum with no real apparent weaknesses.

Weaknesses:
They need room, and aren't manufactured any more. From the looks of their web site Cabasse has moved to trendy surround speakers that look like eyes with exception to the bahia (which is very similar to the Catalane).

Review 2 of 3

Summary:

These speakers are magic , no need to speak about technic here .It's just pure emotion ! From primitive african music to funk !

I grew up listening and learning music on my father's Cabasse ; 20 years after I am still wondering how this wizzard company manages to produce that life from 2 boxes .

( excellent service from Northstarleading.com )

Review 3 of 3

Summary:
Very good, but needs to be strongly driven. Sounds great with my Audiolab800s, but even better with tube amplifiers (Kora, Audiomat, Audioresearch)
