Summary:
Academy Millenium 1: Very pleased with this little buty of a speaker. Its not only sounding very neutral it´s also a peace of art, if you like woodwork that is. Takes on rock, voices, accoustic, classical, you name it, the dynamics from this small speaker is awesome. The big problem i had was finding an amp that could drive the bass, though small in size it´s certainly heavy on load. Tried separates and integrated amps and finally came up with Musical Fidelity A3, a typically "english" sounding amp with a lot of go in it. Feels like i can live with this combo for a long time.

Strengths:
Sounds good on all kinds of music! Good looks, solid build.

Weaknesses:
Little bit weak in the bass region if you have a big room, easily fixed with a good sub (Elac 303 for me). Heavy on the Amp...

Summary:
I have the millennium academy 1 model.

One of the best speakers I have ever heard. Looking for a good subwoofer since I am using it in the living room, bass (or lack of it) is my only grouse, but this little baby really sings.

Price I bought is with the original chario stands. They look great together.

sweet, clear, detail, wonderful soundstaging

Weaknesses:
bass. better for smaller rooms.

Summary:
I listened to many speakers in my system over a period of 9 months after deciding to upgrade our rogers ls7t's. i prefer small speakers, they image better and bass integration of larger boxes is i feel generally lumpy on suspended wooden floors, since the floor becomes in effect a passive radiator. My room is fairly large and the speakers are generally kept around 2 ft from the rear of one wall when "family listening" this provides some bass enhancement that nicely warms the sound. For critical use i have a second pair of stands which place the tweeter at ear height and i move these 6ft from the wall. I use a plinius 8150 and a meridiam 506/20 with a Source/RB250/AToc9 turntable.. I think the thing I like most about the Charios is that they pull you in, not in your face, but whenever anyone else listens to the sound you can see them drift off into the music. The bass is weaker than a speaker with say an 8-12 inch driver or a larger cabinet but plucked double bass is as accurate in tone as any cabinet speaker i have heard just lacking in weight. A very musical speaker, i am delighted.

Summary:
listened to several speakers and Chario Acadamy Millennium sounds like the ideal speaker for fairly small rooms in which they have plenty of bass. Very clear definition and much presence. requires taller stands than provided by manufacter. prefer millennium one over Audio Monitor 6 and totem model one.

Summary:
This is a magnificently musical speaker with a full bass and very smooth mids and highs. Definition is not perfect, but still better thans most floor standers. The spaciousness of this speaker is amazing. Play "Wash Me Clean" from K.D. Lang, "The Wall" of Pink Floyd or "Amused to Death" by Roger Waters and you will know what I mean!
This model has now been discontinued and replaced by the new Chario Academy Millennium 1, which has an ever better sound.

For the price, this is really one of the BEST standmounts and I have heard some good 'uns from Sonus Faber, Dynaudio, Totem... Listen to them and be moved till tears by the music then can reproduce so magnificantly!
