Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $150.00

Summary:
This is a follow-up review after three years of life with these speakers. They are still being used in my office; still part of a two channel system; still being powered by my Kenwood VR-6050 receiver. I am still very happy with them! Since I posted my last review, I did wire in a low cost sub into the system.

Strengths:
Balanced sound -- great for all kinds of music.

Weaknesses:
bass is as good as it can be in such a small bookshelf system -- this was helped by adding a sub to the system.

Similar Products Used:
none in the last three years -- and I am not looking

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $150.00 from accessories4Less.com

Summary:
Small bookshelf speakers which I integrated into a 2-channel office audio system. I listen to all kinds of music from classics to opera to popular from jazz to blues to country to r&b. These are excellent balanced full sounding speakers. They won't make the earth move; but for use in my office, powered by a Kenwood VR-6050 receiver, they are great!

Strengths:
Great balance - very satisfying sound; satisfactory bass for a small bookshelf system; smooth all across the audio frequency spectrum. Makes it a joy to listen to music!

Weaknesses:
Bass could be more pronounced -- but that is impossible in so small a system. Some day I may add a subwoofer.

Similar Products Used:
These systems replaced a pair of Design Acoustics bookshelf speakers that I bought from J&R Music World in New York. DA was a small Canadian manufacturer that went bust some years ago. They were good speakers but the Cantons are a definate upgrade to my ears.
