Summary:
these speakers toppled the proac1SC, proac tablette 8, tablette 2000, sonus faber concertino, spendor ls3/5a, totem rainmaker, at least when paired with my gears. they just dissappear. tonality is perfect, bass is adequate..sounds just right.

Weaknesses:
may not be able to handle large volume levels. they tend to lose composure...maybe better results for larger rooms.

Summary:
The loudspeaker I want to write about is new Haydn, which is called Haydn Grand. Some key differences between the new and previous model are: a) bigger mid-woofer (6" vs 5.5") b) front ported vs rear ported c) bigger dimension all round d) 4 ohm vs 6 ohm impedance The build quality of the Haydn Grand is superb. The rosewood finish looks great. I listened to the Haydn Grand driven by a pair of 100W/ch Flying Mole Class D digital amplifier with great result.

Summary:
Hard to believe this little speakers can can have such amazing sound. For the budget of around $1000 (but it gives you the quality about $3000 speakers.) The soundstage is deep and wide, the high is crystal clear and the bass is good -- if you using large current amp. I used Musical Fadelity A3.2 Int. amp to drive and it give me tube amp like feeling. I have compared it with Proac 1SC ($2000), just can't tell the different. It needs long time to break in (about 300 hours). So please be patient, you will find the amaing sound after complete burn in. My setup: Hadyn Speakers NAD C542 Cd player MF A3.2 int. amp Van Den Hul speaker cable

Summary:
The first time I heard these I just knew I was going to have to find a pair to take them home with me. This is without a doubt the best sounding bookshelf I have heard in this price range.The highs are very smooth and detailed and the mids are outstanding.You really can listen to these for hours without the listener's fatigue that develops with so many of the other good sounding speakers out there. The Viennas are not an extremely efficient speaker but if you have 150watts or more to give them they go from very good to incredible. I can hear details in music that I don't think I've heard with anything else in this price range. I don't think the bass will be enough for some with these speakers but I believe it is exactly where it should be, very tight and very clean. If your equipment will allow, the crossover should probably be set to 80hz and you should definately let the sub take over from there if you have one. If you don't then I recommend getting one because if you want to hear this speaker at it's full potential, using a sub such as the HSU Vtf-3 will add a depth of sound and create a sound stage equivalent to some very good floor standers and then some. These speakers are a little more sensitive then most that I have listened to regarding the quailty of the recording simply because you can hear every little detail both good and bad. Jazz and classical sound quite incredible but these do quite well with rock and pop as well. I wouldn't recommend these speakers to anyone that likes alot of the deep bass that's in alot of the rap and hip-hop but for everything else they perform incredibly well. As for home theater these are equally as good but again a good sub makes all the difference. If your in the market for a very good bookshelf speaker then these should be close to the top of your list to audition.

Strengths:
Mids and highs. Bass is good but probably not enough for most. Very finely crafted speaker.

Weaknesses:
These really do need at least 100 watts of good clean power (150 recommended) to perform at or near their full potential.

Summary:
Took the time to search for speakers during a long visit to Tokyo, and after listening to many very nice bookshelf monitors for my office, I went back to Dynamic Audio (don't miss them if you're in Japan) and the salesman brought these beautiful, solid rosewood demo units out. They made the right impression and I grabbed the pair. I've not found them hard to place, and they don't seem fussy about tube or SS amplification. They even sounded wonderful on my old Sony amplifier... fabulous clarity and detail, vocals are natural; somehow they're warm and crisp at the same time. The soundstage is impressive, and they sound like they're double the size and twice the cost. I'd like to get a full set for my home theater. Haven't heard others of the Vienna range but will soon. Can they be this good for the money?

Strengths:
Musicality, accuracy... wonderful tight bass, just hard to describe how enthusiastic I am to have discovered these. Close your eyes while listening and you suddenly have a much more expensive system.

Weaknesses:
Vienna has the most irritating and pretensious website ever. Somebody ought to tell them!
