Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $5.00 from yard sale

Summary:
I picked this up at a yard sale 15 years ago for the walnut case only. I was
amazed at the quality of the tuner. Best I've ever heard, AM and FM. Extremely
sharp tuning. Can't say enough about it. I've got probably about 20-25 tuners
and receivers, Fisher, Scott, Eico,Dynaco, Sansui,Kenwood etc. I'll take this little
Fisher any day. Nothing like this plastic Chinese junk offered today. Believe me.

Strengths:
Awesome tuner. Best I own. Amplifier is great too. Only 20 wpc, but, sound is
great. A real sleeper....

Weaknesses:
No tape loop. But, no big deal.

Similar Products Used:
HH Scott 382, 382B,348,388,344C,LT112B,350,LT110 etc,etc. Many Eico's,
Dyna's, Fisher's, + Japs.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $150.00 from Ebay

Summary:
Extremley clean sound, deep smooth bass, one the best receivers I have ever heard, plenty of power. Can't say anything negative about this receiver, nothing in todays market sounds as clean. No fancy gimmicks or useless features on this model, AM/FM radio, phono input, tape and aux.

Strengths:
Extremley well built and engineered, AM/FM tuner extremley sensitive. Built in 1968 and still not obsolete. All modern components can be hooked up, CD/DVD player, tape deck etc..

Weaknesses:
None that I can think, some would say not having a remote is a weakness, but the crisp clean sound more than makes up for not having a remote. I would take this stereo over any so called "modern" day cheap Chinese made stereo w/ remote!

Similar Products Used:
Sansui 9090DB, Pioneer SX-950
