Summary:
In summary: breath taking. The sound of the T16 is exceptionally clear. They are much quieter (with the low noise mod) with almost no noticeable hiss/noise coming from the speakers with your ear pressed against the tweeter - especially compared to the Musical Fidelity A3CR 120W/ch. The T16s certainly go loud enough for me with the B&W CDM9NT pseakers - I haven't reached clipping/significant distortion levels yet - even with DVDs - admittedly I'm not going for window rattling levels however. Bass performance is very good. The speed of this amp is amazing - it's lightning quick - there's nothing tubey about it at all. I'm extremely happy with the sound - I don't know what else can be improved! There is noticeably more detail and nuance in the music. I can hear fingers on frets, artists breathing in parts and detail in strings that weren't there before. Voices in particular are much more separated. Listening to opera with multiple vocal parts is striking the clarity and virtual tangibility of the singers presence. Backing vocals on your usual pop/rock music can be picked out individually. Norah Jones (which was never a particularly favourite recording) is now spine tingling with her close-miked presence. The difference is not subtle! It's hard to explain but I've never heard anything so good come out of these speakers (B&W CDM9NT). Solid state or tube.

Strengths:
Sound. Low noise. Good output power. No output transformer compromises. Price! Easy bias adjustement. Realiability. Good speaker compatability for an OTL. Exceptional bass. Glow at night :)
