Summary: I used this for my Kinima Hi-G2 and now my Tannoy S8 and seems to work really well. Used for HT and stereo music and works really well. However, they don't have bi-wire ready output. 5 Ch sounds great.
Strengths: Clean power, clear sound, great power.
Weaknesses: manual is useless, remote is ok, hard to get a sound out of it if you don't know how to set it. Non bi-wireable.

Summary: I drive the unit hard, when needed and I did have it shut off a couple of times, mostly due to the confines of the audio rack I believe, for when I relocated the unit to a better venilated area, it performs effortlessly.
Lots of flexibilty with this unit, having preouts for everychannel. Not to mention each channel is able to be adjusted independantly.
Strengths: easy to use, and powerful. Cosmetically appealing, user friendly remote, ballzy and full soundstage.
Weaknesses: doesnt get me a coke when I ask it to. I really cant think of any weaknesses that apply, sorry.
Similar Products Used: Used some B&K products, listend to some NAD. Pretty much kept with the Denon brand for it has never, ever, not once let me down. I have poweramps, intergrated amps, preamps, all Denon.. Never had a problem with anything that was denon, save a DVD-800 series that I swear was made by panasonic, that crapped out after 4 years of use.

Summary: Was great when it worked, but had to have it serviced twice, and now it's on the blink again. Will only work in stereo CD mode now, same problem as before -- some problem with the microprocessor apparently. I bought an extended guaranty that included getting a loaner receiver, so it wasn't overly inconvenient, but I don't want to go through it again. I put it through a lot of use, sometimes all day, but is a receiver only supposed to last 4 years? In reading the board, I see others have had similar problems, and I would be most hesitant to buy from Denon again for fear of getting another lemon.
Strengths: Great sound, though I'm not an audiophile.
Weaknesses: Broke 3 times, terrible remote, confusing user manual.

Summary: Denov AVR 3300. I have owned this reciever for over three years. I am running it through a complete Def Tech speaker system and a Toshiba DVD 5 disk. LARGE family/home theater room. Denon has always been known for good clean power, at 105 watts this reciever puts out. Excellent Dolby Digital / DTS playback. Good flexibility in the DPS modes easy to use on screen menues. Sound is clean and good, decent full range to incredible volumes with little compresion or distortion, takes a while to make it clip at high vol. I do feel the Def Techs would sonicaly bennefit from more power (dugh),although very happy with overall sound and product.Full funtion easy to use remote, easy to follow owners manual. Anyone intrested in a low to mid priced reciever should definetly give the Denon line a good listen. You might not have to spend as much money as you thought.
Strengths: Excellent big sound from a small watt reciever in a very large room. Nice remote / on screen menues. Great value.Compared to similar products of the same power rating , is no comparison.
Weaknesses: Very small volume display!!!
Should have vol display show up on the tv when operated.
