Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $200.00

Summary:
Unlike the other review I had no problem setting up the elliptical dish. Just set the tilt and elevation when assembling the dish and then adjust the azimuth once the dish is mounted on the mast. It is critical the the mast be plumb in both the east-west and north-south directions. Note that signal strength on the 119 deg bird is lower due to some damage to it.

Strengths:
Instructions were clear and I no problem installing the system.

Weaknesses:
Remote control could control more features on my TV (sony) and VCR (JVC). The basic features are supported but access to setup menus are not.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $99.00 from Wallyworld

Summary:
unlike the metal dishes, the oval plastic/fiberglass dish breaks the skewing screw in the plastic easily (beware when adjusting a lot to find signal, and you will adust a lot, enough that I gave up and bought a 2nd round dish mounted 2nd LNB then and fed into multiswitch just to get 119 sat.

I regret not staying with cheaper dual LNB, ABSOLUTELY NO BENEFITS.

In short, the plus system sux as an upgrade but is as excellent (excluding the dish) as the std. 4221 single dual LNB, the twin dual LNBs gave no additional channels or clearer picture, nor is it HD compat, it sux like I said.

stick with the 4221 for way, way less hastles, way less...

cheers

Strengths:
supports up to 4 receivers via a multiswitch

Weaknesses:
extremely difficault to aquire signals from twin LNBs
no benefits to standard system (as it to gets 119 when a round dish is set up as an oval w/2 LNBs)
